The Phobians completed personal terms with Akowuah and announced his capture, but Medeama issued a statement denying agreeing terms with the Accra giants over his tranfer.
However, Hearts of Oak’s, acting General Manager, Vincent Adotei granted interviews claiming that they have now satisfied all the necessary transfer requirement regarding Malik Akowuah and currently their player.
Medeama in another counter statement have indicated that agreement hasn’t been completed and if Hearts think Malik Akowuah is their player they should proceed and use him in their games.
"It's becoming disappointing, outlandish and preposterous when you persistently keep hearing these claims," club spokesman Patrick Akoto told Accra-based Citi FM
"We have consistently told the Ghanaian people that nothing concrete has been reached and yet people are made to believe we are home and dry.
'Let me kindly remind everybody involved in this transaction that Medeama has not signed any deal with Hearts regarding Malik Akowuah.
"Talks are still ongoing. We are not going to be pushed in selling him. They (Hearts) know what to do.
"Please those peddling those falsehood and deceiving their supporters should stop. It won't help anybody.
He added: "Nobody is interested in dragging this matter. But the stark reality is the right procedure will be followed to the hilt.
"If we forgave and overlooked their earlier gaffe, we're not going to do same. They should go ahead and use him if they think they have concluded talks with us."
