Afriyie Acquah picked up an injury as Torino edged Benevento 1-0 in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.

The 25-year-old central midfielder came on in the game in the 55 minute to replace injured Joel Obi, but unfortunately for Torino the Ghana international after lasting for some few minutes couldn’t continue after a tackle.

Afriyie Acquah tore his muscle and was replaced by Daniele Baselli.

''There is a bit of a shortage in midfield now for the next few games, but that’s all part of what makes my job exciting,'' Mihajlovic said in a post-match interview.

Acquah will undergo test to ascertain the extent of the injury.
