“Obi Agye Obi Girl” is about my past experience – Captain Planet

Captain Planet revealed that the motive behind the song is to encourage people to stay monogamous and not chase after other people’s partners.

Captain Planet, a member of powerhouse music group 4x4 has disclosed that the motive behind the lyrics “Obi Agye Obi Girl” was borne out of experience with regard to relationships.

The song is about how painful it is to have one's partner snatched from them and at the same time how pleasant it is to snatch one's partner from another.

Speaking on Joy News he revealed that the motive behind the song is to encourage people to stay monogamous and not chase after other people’s partners.

“I believe in drinking water from one’s own water system simply do not do unto others what you do not want them to do unto you” he said.

The song which features Kofi Kinaata was released a month ago and has since gone viral.

Captain Planet expressed excitement at the pace at which the song is being played on media airwaves.

“I’m grateful how Ghanaians have accepted the song. Normally it takes one month or two months for a song to sink well with people but this one has been an exception” he disclosed.
