Dally Gagba has been in the news for the wrong reason after he awarded a controversial penalty against Hearts of Oak in their 1-1 draw with Kotoko.
The Bolga-based made several mistakes during the game including a contentious penalty awarded in favour of the Porcupine Warriors in their one all draw.
FIFA Referee Joseph Wellington, who is the vice chairman of the Appointment Committee of the Ghana Football says Gagba had a bad day in office.
“Referee Gagba wasn’t in his best shape after the first three minutes and his demeanour throughout the game was not on point. I have known him for a long time and per his performances in the season, I think he struggled in the match,” Wellington told Happy FM.
“With the penalty call, I didn’t see it clearly and I didn’t have the benefit of replay but we’ll review his performance before coming out with a decision.”
