“Again, a team of crack investigators were mobilized to land guard-related cases to ensure such cases were properly investigated and sent to court without delay.”

“The police, through their operational exercises, were able to impound and retrieve, among other things, one Toyota Corolla (private car), military uniforms and some accoutrements, one pickup vehicle, a pump action gun, machetes, jack knives, live and empty cartridges and motorbikes,” the statement added.

Out of the total number of arrests made 21 are on remand, whilst 20 are on court bail, and 9 on police enquiry bail.

According to the statement, the operation is part of their determination to clamp down on land guard activities in the Greater Accra Region.
