Olympique Marseille send scouts to monitor Ghana youngster

The 22-year-old is understood to be the subject of a bid from Marseille and negotiations between the two clubs are apparently at an advanced stage.

French giants Olympique Marseille are closing in on a deal to sign Ghana youngster Nasiru Mohammed from BK Hacken, according to Foot Mercato.

Marseille have kept a close eye on the striker's progress in recent months and have now told new manager Franck Passi to make his move.

Marseille scout Jean-Philippe Durand even watched Mohammed at the weekend in a Swedish first division match between Hacken and Hammarby.

Durand is also set to watch the player again on Thursday night after he liked what he saw, in a Europa League qualifying match against Cork City.

Nasiru Mohammed’s contract expires in December 2016, which would enable Marseille to sign him for less than a million Euros.
