President Akufo-Addo said the controversial diplomat’s interest in the country’s politics and social life has earned him a special place in the heart of Ghanaians. He added that he is welcome to the country anytime he so desires.

Nana Addo urged Jon Benjamin to continue having Ghana’s interest at heart as he ends his duty in the country.
The President added that the relationship between Ghana and the United Kingdom has greatly deepened during his period of stay in Ghana and was hopeful that whoever takes his place will further enrich the good relations between the two countries.
In a response, Jon Benjamin said he was very sad he was leaving since his stay in Ghana has been extremely special.
He was hopeful that his successor will deepen the relationship between Ghana and the UK than what has existed during his time.

“My extensive travel in Ghana has made me experience firsthand the culture and social values of the People of Ghana,” he added.
