A total of 5,861 people have been deleted from governments payroll, saving the nation GH₵111,3 million, the Finance Minister
He said, "From January to Sept 2015 alone 5,861 people deleted with a cumulative savings for the 9mnths of about GH₵111,256,375.44."
The deletion of the ghost names was part of government structural reforms to prevent reins in spending.
He said the implementation of the Electronic Salary Payment Voucher has allowed for real-time validation of each employee before the payment of monthly salaries.

Mr Terkper said head of unit in public institutions now determines who should be paid for a particular month.
