Godfred Yeboah Dame has said government is considering taxing churches in the country.
Profit making ventures such as schools, micro finance institutions, transportation as some of the profit making businesses that religious organisation were engaged in, and yet failed to honour their tax obligations.
Speaking at a round table discussion organized by the Kingdom Equip Network, he said very soon, all "commercial activities of churches will be taxed".
"The legal regime now provides for the taxation of activities of churches which essentially bother on business," he said.

He added that "It is only in respect of activities which are charitable that churches are exempted from taxation. So, even the current law in the country…warrants that we tax them [churches] for activities which are commercial or bother on trading or business."
