Over 40 feared dead in Kintampo accident

Over 40 people are feared dead in a fatal accident in Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo Region Wednesday evening.

The accident occurred around 8.30pm when a Metro Mass Transit bus collided with a truck loaded with tomatoes on the Kintampo-Tamale highway.

According to Graphic online, several passengers were trapped under the bus.

As at the time of filing this report, Police officers were at the scene to control the situation.

The ghastly accident created a heavy vehicular traffic in the area.

Meanwhile, the injured have been taken to the hospital, as residents help in retrieving bodies that are still trapped under the bus.
