According to Dan Osman Mwin, the Controller and Accountant general’s department have been authorised by the Finance Ministry, to process the documents of the teachers for payments to be made.

“The Ghana Education Service has been asked to activate the data of these validated officers. If the machines are not open for now, it means it will be done within the first week of August… and then Controller can easily pay the monies that each teacher deserves,” he told Citi FM
He added that the Audit Department have also been tasked to validate the certificates of the teachers before payments are made.
So far, over 13,000 teachers have been cleared in the first validation exercise.
He added that another badge of teachers will go through the same validation process.
“This number is now covering all those teachers who had problems. This means that another badge will go through the validation process and when the number is encouraging they will again release it and the Controller General Accountant will be paid …” he said
