Mr Afoko sued the NPP after he described his suspension from the largest opposition party last year as unlawful.
He is, therefore, asking the court to quash the suspension.
He is challenging the legitimacy of two members of the disciplinary committee, Madam Gifty Kusi and Alhaji Short, who voted to suspend him on the grounds that his actions and inactions were inimical to the political fortunes of the NPP.
