All companies that fail to comply with the directive will have their revoked from the documents of the Registrar General.

Public Relations Officer of the Registrar General’s Department, Constance Adomah Sakyi reveals that many businesses are yet to comply with the direction.

“We decided that we will apply the stated penalties because we have issued enough notice for people   to file their annual returns. But there are more companies on the database who are yet to file their returns. We were supposed to be applying the sanctions from August, 1, 2016, but we couldn’t because of CLOGSAG’s strike.”

Constance Adomah Sakyi spoke to Accra-based Citi Fm.
