President John Dramani Mahama is expected in Lome, Togo, to continue his consultation with key political stakeholders after the country’s elections.
President John Mahama who doubles as the ECOWAS Chair was accompanied by his counterpart Ivorian President, Allassane Ouatarra.
The two are expected to hold talks with incumbent President Faure Gnassingbe and the leadership of the political parties.
Meanwhile, President Faure Gnassingbe has taken a giant lead in Saturday's poll.

Gnassingbe has been president since 2005, when his father died after 38 years in charge of the west African nation.
The election has been largely peaceful and there were no signs of the tension that led to violence in 2005 when hundreds died after the election.
After 48 years with the same family in charge, his rivals say Togo needs new leadership. Strikes by teachers and medics have in recent months turned violent. Opposition parties said inaccuracies in the voter roll might favor the president.
