SHS final year student dies in swimming pool

The deceased named Prince Sam got drowned at the Nsaakoa Hotel at Ajumako Onwane when he attempted to cool off his body.

Tragedy struck students of Mando Senior High School (MANSEC) in Ajumako Mando in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam district in the Central region, when a 20-year-old final year student died after drowning in a swimming pool at a hotel.

The deceased named Prince Sam according to report got drowned at the Nsaakoa Hotel at Ajumako Onwane when he attempted to cool off his body.

Mother of the deceased, Mariam Essuman said her son went to a pool party organized by some rural bank in Nsaakoa Hotel in Ajumako Onwane on Sunday, where he was found dead in the pool when swimming.

According to reports, the death was attributed to ritual murder as revelers always die from drowning in that particular hotel (Nsaakoa) swimming pool in March every year.
