Ahmad Ahmad on Thursday managed to unseat Issa Hayatou as the President of the Confederation of African Football

Ahmed Ahmad was carried high on the shoulders of his supporters, after he ended Issa Hayatous 29 years reign as the President of the Confederation of African Football on Thursday.

Ahmad Ahmad polled 34 votes to win the CAF presidential election with Issa Hayatou losing with 20 votes.

The victory for Ahmad Ahmad ends Issa Hayatou's reign as president of Africa’s football federation-He was elected in 1988.
