Considering how young his daughter is, fans were shocked when he announced that they have welcomed a son on his birthday. This he confirmed at his beach concert at Labadi and the news went viral.

Sacking of Kelvyn Boy

After years of being Kelvyn Boy’s mentor and introducing him to the world, the Bhim Nation President parted ways with the “Mea” singer this year. This generated a lot of headlines as interested fans were worried as to why he ended things with Kelvyn Boy in such manner.

Demoted Black Cedi

After sacking Kelvyn Boy, the dancehall act also announced a shakeup in his management team. He mentioned that Blakk Cedi, who was known as his manager, is now his agent. He didn't disclose who his new manager is and fans have since been speculating that his wife has now taken that role.

Ashaiman to the world concert

For the sixth time, Stonebwoy staged his “Ashaiman To The World” to the concert. The show was very successful with thousands attending with Shatta Wale who also graced the stage to reaffirm their new peace deal.

Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award

The Ghanaian dancehall act also became a hot topic in after he won the Favorite African Star award at this year's Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award. The 'Top Skanka' hitmaker was in the race with Adesua Etomi-Wellington, IK Osakioduwa, both from Nigeria, and Kenya's Sauti Sol.

Samsung Ambassadorial role

This year, one of the biggest ambassadorial deals Stonebwoy signed was his deal with Samsung. The deal was his most talked-about news until the VGMAs fracas ensued and drowned matters relating to his contract with the giant electronic appliance manufacturer.

Tour and broken knee

Stonebwoy roamed the corners of the world this year with his talent. Apart from joining the Morgan heritage for their Kenyan show, the dancehall act also toured Europe and when he was about to visit Canada, he shockingly announced that he’s suffered a knee injury which forced him to quit the tour to seek medical attention.

Few days after, he was present at shows in Ghana where he was jumping on stage like nothing happened. This left fans talking if he truly suffered a knee injury or not.
