Andrew Vortia, the lead counsel for Akuapem Poloo filed an appeal arguing that the sentence handed Akuapem Poloo was too hard.
Meanwhile, her lawyers failed to complete the processes to secure her release on time after she was granted bail to the tune of $80,000 with two sureties by the Criminal Division of the High Court. As a result, she spent a few days in prison before she was released.
