While speaking with the Accra-based radio station, Obour hailed Ebony as a "reincarnation of Beyonce, Alicia Keys".

The MUSIGA boss continued that he was still "sad" and could not "believe" the death of Ebony.

"Ebony was Ghana’s own reincarnation of Beyonce, AliciaKeys and the likes. ‬ ‪She just kept rising and rising. ‬ ‪She was arguably Ghana’s biggest exports musically at the moment.‬ ‪I can’t believe this. This is too sad," Obour hailed that late Ebony.

Ebony and Obour have had their moments in the past.

"That [Ebony’s dressing] is very bad. It is very bad. Again, in our vein as a union we will try to let the public know that they are in an acting role,” Obour said in an interview with Joy News in November 2017.

The comment did not go down well with Ebony, who took to social media to clap back at Obour. In a statement released on her official Facebook page Wednesday, November 29, Ebony accused Obour of squandering Ghanaian musicians' money adding that MUSIGA is doing nothing for the musicians.

"Ebony reigns dressing is very bad and is not our culture, but 'chopping' of musicians money is very good and I think that is our culture. some gh musicians are dying of hunger and what is ur union doing about that mr president? do you really care?#hustle," the late artiste posted on her Facebook.

Current reports suggest that a heap of sand in the middle of a bad road caused the accident which led to the untimely death of the budding musician.
