Sarkodie admits Okyeame Kwame’s advice keeps him going

“Okyeame Kwame once told me that almost 80% of individuals in every household like me and listen to my music religiously so why should I concentrate on the 20% who don’t like me?," Sarkodie said.

‘Humble’ Sarkodie is not going without a few mentions of some acts that helped in shaping him to become the mega star rapper he is in Ghana and Africa right now.

For the record, he has disclosed that he would have been no where today, if not for an advice by Okyeame Kwame.

Asked how he keeps his head up amidst all the controversies and bad press around him, the artist explained that Okyeame Kwame’s advice to concentrate on the positives than the negatives keeps him going.

“Okyeame Kwame once told me that almost 80% of individuals in every household like me and listen to my music religiously so why should I concentrate on the 20% who don’t like me?," he said.

According to him, concentrating on the minority will therefore be a great disrespect to the majority of his fans and followers and may also let him lose focus.

Sarkodie, after his concert at the Apollo Theatre was hit hit with several accusations of twisting history for a concert he dubbed “Sarkodie: History In The Making”.

The Adonai hitmaker in 2012 Sarkodie released his debut album Rapperholic. It was later followed by a 30 track album Sarkolgy.

His third album Mary which he dedicates to his grand mum drops on Saturday September 12 2015 with an autograph signing at the West Hills Mall in Accra.
