President says late musician will be given befitting burial

The president stated the late musician deserves a befitting burial because he served the country well and earned the State’s support.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana has assured that the late Highlife musical legend Paapa Yankson who passed away on July 21, 2017 in Apam would be given a befitting burial.

Nana Addo disclosed this when a delegation headed by the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Catherine Abelema Afeku compromising with Paapa Yankson’s family members and leadership of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) visited him at the Flagstaff House.

The president said that the funeral of the late Highlife musician should be at the forecast of the State House

The leadership of MUSIGA also revealed that Paapa Yankson would be honoured at the annual grand ball scheduled for December 5.
