Samini calls out Sarkodie for exploiting fellow acts, details encounter with the rapper

Ghanaian musician Samini has made startling claims against rapper Sarkodie, alleging that he exploits fellow artistes during collaborations.

Samini Dagaati

Samini in an interview on TV3 on September 24, 2023, accused Sarkodie of using artists for his own gain, stating, "...Tell me one track from am wey e big alone like that".

When asked by the Host whether Sarkodie uses everybody as he can, Samini responded that that is what he did to him so he was certain that he exhibited the same behavior with others.

"That is what he came to do with me . So I can confirm that is what he does. " The musician recounted a specific incident to emphasize his point. "I recorded his song within 24 hours, so I expected the same energy from him, that energy should be reciprocal if I ever needed anything from you."

He added that he did that collaborations are what made the industry thrive and make the fans happy which is why he reached out.

"It is for the fans, I don't need you to make me relevant and you don't need me either. it is collaborations that make the fans happy. How is it okay for you this small boy to ask me questions about the song and leave me blue ticks till the project is over and months and years after that I had to talk about it on radio before you talk about it and even that you shrug it off like it is nothing happened. Like what?" Unhappy Samini quizzed.

This public dispute follows Samini's earlier complaints about Sarkodie not responding to his collaboration request for the 2021 Burning-EP and when asked on a radio interview he shrugged off the topic.

Samini mentioned that he contributed his part to the track "Love Rock" for free, but when he needed Sarkodie's help, he didn't get it.
