Zayn Malik, 22, the former One Direction star quit the band in March saying he wanted to be a ‘normal 22-year-old’.
He’s since been seen in the studio with Naughty Boy, although they are no longer working together after the producer’s constant jabs at One Direction, and he’s now signed a solo record deal with RCA Records, who are part of Sony Music Entertainment.
Zayn also told his fans on Wednesday the real reason behind his sudden departure from one of the biggest boybands in history.
He followed the post with a photo of him signing a new record dealing.
To re-affirm what he said earlier, he tweeted:
We can only wait with fingers crossed for whatever is coming next.
