Actor confirms role in "Blade Runner" sequel
Ryan Gosling has confirmed that he is starring in the much-anticipated "Blade Runner 2," a sequel to Harrison Ford's 1982 film.
Confirming the reports to Collider, the Canadian actor said; "It's exciting. If I say anything more there's a chip in me that will explode."
To be directed by Denis Villeneuve and executive produced by Ridley Scott, its 1982 original movie is considered one of the greatest science-fiction film of all time.
Harrison Ford who starred in the 1982 sci-fi film will reprise his character as replicant hunter.
The original film starred Ford alongside Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, and Edward James Olmos, and a modified film adaptation of the 1968 novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick.
The film depicts a dystopian Los Angeles in which genetically engineered replicants, which are visually indistinguishable from adult humans, are manufactured by the powerful Tyrell Corporation.
Gosling is currently teaming with Brad Pitt and Christian Bale for an adaptation of the Michael Lewis best-seller about the 2008 financial crisis.
