DJ YoGa introduces “Afrotrap Freestyle Mix” series to promote rising African trap artistes
Trap music is gradually gaining grounds and recognition in Ghana with artistes like Sarkodie, Medikal, Kwaw Kese, Criss Waddle, Kwesi Arthur, Darko Vibes, AYAT, Kofi Mole, etc.
Popular radio/TV DJ and record producer, DJ YoGa, who has been on an agenda since 2016 to promote the infusion of African instruments and sound into hip-hop/rap industry has started a freestyle mix series targeted at promoting up and coming artistes attempting the new genre.
The maiden "AfroTrap Freestyle Mix" features three promising artists namely: WiLDChild, Street4tune and Eddy Bangz, and it’s recorded and produced by DJ YoGa.
The mix series will be released on a Monthly basis and its vision is to introduce versatility and variety to the Hiphop genre in Ghana as well as encourage the involvement of our culture and sound in the fast-growing genre.
DJ YoGa is currently working on his maiden album titled “The African Trap” which is slated for release later this year.
