Y Takoradi celebrates 10 years of relevant entertainment in Western Region

The station is celebrating its 10 years of operating in the Western Region with an extension of celebrations throughout the month of July.

From an array of peerless media personalities of the station, the tuneful music to the great interviews churned out, Y Takoradi has been nothing short of the leading brand that entertains and engages listeners.

To celebrate this 10-year milestone, the station has outlined commemorative activations and events to be held under the theme, “Y Tadi @ 10…A decade of relevant entertainment and music happiness in the Western Region”.

As part of the celebration, the station will embark on 10 distinct activations to reward 100 people throughout the rest of the year.

Also, listeners will have the opportunity of listening to their favourite voices who were once presenters of the brand.

The anniversary celebration however, will be incomplete without a party. The brand which is synonymous to party promises a rave-up to celebrate in grand style.

While engaging in all these fun activities, Y Takoradi sees the need to give back to society in this celebratory mood. Thus, the station wishes to embark on a slum clean-up campaign and the re-painting of faded Zebra crossings in Takoradi.

The 10-year milestone celebration will be climaxed with a thanksgiving service in December.

Programmes Manager of Y Takoradi, Agyekum-Gyimah, speaking on the 10-year anniversary acknowledged the team behind the Y Takoradi brand for their diverse roles in the station’s achievements.

“I wish to express my deep-seated gratitude to all staff for their immense support to the growth of the station. I also extend my gratitude to listeners of the station. To be honest, their support has significantly contributed to our success”.

Agyekum-Gyimah added that in the years to come, the touchstone set by Y Takoradi will be taken a notch higher and listeners can expect nothing but the best.
