If you have been thinking that you are too old to acquire formal education, then this is the time to have a rethink. A Kenyan woman believed to be 95 years old is currently attending school to learn how to read and write.

Chebelina Mukomuga was photographed recently in a school uniform, sitting in a classroom with other old folks who had registered for adult education.

Communication Officer at Lewa Wildlife, Kenya, Wanjiku Kinuthia is reported as saying the aged woman estimated being born in 1923, and if that is anything to go by, then she is indeed 95 years old.

Chebelina’s case is not unprecedented though. In May this year, a 96-year-old Guadalupe Palacios from Mexico enrolled in high school, with the hope to graduate on her 100birthday.

In that same month, a 98-year-old North Carolina woman, who had raised 12 children and given them sufficient education chose to enrol herself at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia where she graduated with associate degree in interdisciplinary studies.
