Mr
Agbaje in his verdict said there was nothing the court could do since Bamidele and Tawa had resolved to part ways.
He however, gave custody of the two children produced by the union to Bamideleâs mother for proper care.
Narrating his ordeal, Bamidele said that his wife Tawa had brought untold psychological and emotional torture on him by constantly neglecting her role to him and their children.
âEver since I got married to Tawa in 2,000, I have never had any moment of rest because she doesnât give me happiness.
âTawa leaves home in the morning and doesnât return till very late in the night thereby abandoning and exposing the two little children to all sorts of danger and lack of care.
âNot too long ago my lord, our four year-old female child  was complaining of serious pains in her private part when I was washing her body.
âShe told me that a man had raped her a night before that day.
âI was mad and could have committed murder if I hadnât exercised restrain by using the police to arrest that rapist.
âWorst still, our six year-old male child was kidnapped under similar circumstance of negligence and was not until the day that the boy was rescued in far away Ijebu-Igbo all the way from Ibadan.
âTawa lacks any good moral and does not fit to be a wife.
âIf there is any misunderstanding between both of us, she packs her belongings with the aid of her mother.
âTawa is more interested in the sale of her beer and local drink shop than her children, my lord, I am frustrated,â Bamidele cried.
However, Tawa who did not reject the divorce suit could not defend the allegations leveled against her.
âMy lord, it is true that the young girl was raped, but it was not my fault.
âThe two children are just hyperactive, I usually do a lot to keep them by my side, but they leave without my notice.
âIn fact, I decided to keep them with my mother so as to attend to my customers, but they are uncontrollable,ââshe said.
She added, âI must let the court know that this Bamidele is such an ingrate because I am responsible for his feeding and clothing.
âIn fact, I am responsible for the childrenâs feeding as well as their education and he keeps complaining and beating me.
âHe is such a lazy man, his mother doesnât want to see me and I donât know how I have offended her.ââ
