The bodies of Oksana Bobrovsky, 30, and her husband, Nikita Bobrovsky, 28, were found half-naked inside their SUV outside an apartment building in Novosibirsk home, located 1,700 miles east of Moscow.

While it may look like she and husband Nikita were having sex when the car exploded, Police fear the husband may have detonated the bomb in a fit of jealousy after sources claimed the couple had an argument before the incident and he had accused her of cheating on him.

Novosibirsk Mayor Anatoly Lokot described the apparent murder-suicide as a “family drama,” but it’s unclear what sparked the husband’s jealousy.

Eyewitnesses who rushed to the scene said that when the bodies were removed from the car, both the MP and her husband were 'naked below the belt'.

According to The Siberian Times, a police source said: ‘There is a version that he held in his hands a kind of grenade, or a piece of TNT.’

While another Russian newspaper reported that the couple had a ‘conflict’ and that when the explosives went off, their faces were ‘disfigured’.

Evgenia Romanova, who lives close to where the explosion took place, said: ‘It was horrific – something you would not wish anyone to see. No heads, glass covered in blood … a nightmare.’

The female MP's face was 'almost not visible' after the blast, said another witness.

'There was almost no head,' she said.

Bobrovskaya was an MP in the Novosibirsk regional legislature while her husband was a former special services officer in the Russian military. They were survived by their 6-year old daughter.
