A landlord in Ibadan, Oyo State, Aderemi Babatunde, alias Baba Sango, is trying every trick he can to extricate himself from the accusation of an 8-year-old girl that he raped her.
The man who is said to be a traditional religion worshipper, hence the nickname of Baba Sango, is also accused of using the girl for rituals, an accusation her vehemently denied.
According to Tribune Newspaper, the girl pointedly told her mother that Baba Sango defiled her by first putting his finger in her private part, after which he used his manhood.
Asked to repeat what she told her mother, the girl repeated in the affirmative to the police at the Department of Criminal Investigation, Iyaganku, Ibadan.

The girl's mother narrated that she had left her child with a neighbour and went out but when she came back, she was surprised to meet her daughter at home.
Asked why she left where she was told to stay, the young girl told her mother that it was Baba Sango who called her to his shrine, pulled off her pants and inserted his finger into her private part.
The girl further alleged that the man removed his trousers and put his manhood in her private part.
She stated further that Baba Sango used a black and white handkerchief to wipe her private part and gave the handkerchief to one man she simply called Baba Fila, who used to sell men’s cap.
She disclosed that it was not the first time Baba Sango had had carnal knowledge of her, as the action had been going on for some months.
Medical examination conducted at State Hospital, Adeoyo, revealed that the girl had a bruised vagina wall with her hymen broken.
