You see how Freudian slip occurs when you had been with one organisation for a long time, but moved to join another just recently? It happens to radio or TV presenters more often. That was what happened to Francis Ayagah.

Reports say he took his turn to speak at a rally organized by Governor Samuel Ortom’s wife, Eunice, for the re-election of her husband in the local government area when he committed the faux pas.

As characteristic of political party rallies, the poor chairman mounted the podium and instead of shouting Peee Deee Peee!, he shouted Aaaaaa Peeeee Ceeeee!!

The blunder occurred twice in succession, but PDP supports ignored it, though they felt embarrassed.

However, the error did not go unpunished, Francis Ayagah was subsequently summoned before the PDP elders to explain his action.

A photo of him kneeling down has fuelled speculations that it was a punishment for the Freudian slip.

When you are transitioning from one organisation to another, you might want to be circumspect so you don’t end up promoting your former employer on the new platform, some employers may not take kindly to such a blunder.

It is not clear if it was just a voluntary gesture to show the elders that the error was an unintentional one, or he was actually ordered to kneel down.
