While the police opened a case of child abandonment and initiated a swift investigation, social workers have also been planning the miracle baby's future, briefly.co.za reports.

The case of the little baby touched hearts of indigenes so much that they donated baby clothes and other items to be used by the social workers for the baby’s care.

One Janet Perrot, apparently, a social worker who organised the donation, has been quoted as saying: “Well I was bowled over by the response!!!

“Beautiful new outfits for a baby, lots of nappies and baby grows. One of the Baby grows has the words in the front saying, 'Be Brave Little One. How special is that!

“Also fluffy teddy bears arrived as well. In fact, I am thrilled there is enough now for all 4 abandoned babies.”
