6-year-old Maisie Gregory did get a smack on her face after meeting Queen Elizabeth II in Wales.

Not everyone gets the chance to greet the Queen of England but when 6-year-old Maisie Gregory did, she received a big knock on the head for it.

The young lady was opportune to say hello to Queen Elizbeth II in Wales on Thursday, June 11 and present her the Royal Welsh regiment with its new colors.

Maisie adorably hands over the flowers and does a cute little curtsey, and the Queen tells her she that she looks “very pretty” and “God bless,” according to Wales Online.

After she did, a grown man – a soldier - accidentally smacked her in the face just as the Queen walked away.

According to Maisie's mother, Joanne, the Queen didn’t notice, and as soon as Her Royal Highness left, the soldier “immediately turned round to apologize.” Turns out Maisie was fine afterwards. Her mom says she was just “overcome with tiredness.”
