Is marital rape a right or abuse after being sex starved?

According to the constitution of Nigeria, a man cannot rape his wife. However many woman rights activists see otherwise and believe the issue of marital rape is a growing concern in many homes.

Marital Rape (spousal rape) is the situation of non-consensual sex between two people in a marriage where one person forcefully has carnal knowledge of their spouse.

Marital rape is of significant occurrence in many homes where the man is either has an alcohol problem or there is a history of domestic violence.

While the Nigerian constitution says a man cannot technically rape his wife simply because they are married, other people  are of the opinion that it doesn't matter if its in or out of a marriage, rape is rape.

Many woman rights activists see believe the issue of marital rape is a growing concern in many homes and under no circumstance should a man force himself on a woman.
