A 14-year-old boy, Ebubechukwu Odika, has thrown the sleepy Umueze community in Enugwu-Achi, Oji-River Local Government Area, Enugu State, into mourning when he mistakenly shot his 3-year-old brother, Akachukwu, to death with their father's loaded gun while they were 'play acting' some action movie scenes at their home.

While the two brother reenacted the movie scenes, Ebube inadvertently fired their father's gun at the brother, not knowing that the gun was loaded.

According to a source in the community, the father of the kids, Christian was at the village square at Obodo-Ukwu Enugwu-Akwu, for a meeting of the village elders when the tragic news of the catastrophe got to him and on rushing to his house, he met his young son in a pool of his blood.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) DSP Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the incident, saying investigations have already commenced into the mater.
