The symposia are dedicated to engage intellectual exchange in order to aid the arts and cultural education in 21st Century Ghana. This year’s symposia will focus on the “Representation, Performance and Teaching of Ghanaian Traditional and Contemporary Musical Arts - Drumming and Dance - for local Amateur Groups, Teachers and Educators. The Directors of Diema 2015 are also devoted to exploring the increasing links in the interdisciplinary world of arts, sciences, media, and technology. The theme for this years’ Diema concert is Ghana Meets the World.

In addition to having an annual world class concert and symposia, our ultimate goal is to preserve, restore, develop and promote Ghana’s valued artistic treasures, premiere contemporary and innovative work; build on international connections and relations in the arts. We also hope that this annual program will enhance Arts Education (Music, Dance, Theater and Visual Artists) in Ghana.
