Is E.L James' New 50 Shades' book lazy writing?

She has made more than £75million in four years from her infamous Fifty Shades trilogy and film franchise.

It has been the top Kindle pre-order book of 2015 on Amazon and publisher Vintage Books said demand for the novel has matched the other books which sold more than 125 million copies.

She revealed that the billionaire, played by Jamie Dornan in the film, fell for Anastasia Steele quickly after their first full experience in the 'red room'.

E L James dedicated her latest book to her readers with the words: "Thank you for all that you've done for me. You rock my world every day."

She announced the surprise launch of the book earlier this month in one of the best-kept secrets of publishing.

The author said she was prompted to write it by fans who had asked her to tell Grey's side of the story of his erotic relationship with the college student.

"Christian is a complex character and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations," she said.

Some fans described the first chapters as 'incredible' and 'perfect' as they stormed through the novel overnight.
