Carmaker recalls 798 vehicles over safety concerns in South Africa

Kia Motors' safety concerns has led to the recall of about 798 cars in South Africa.

According to The News Nigeria, these cars were recalled because Kia Motors wants to inspect the steering racks of the affected vehicles.

This is to confirm that the pinion nut is correctly secured, as this could lead to a knocking sound when the steering wheel is turned.

South Korea’s second largest car-maker has announced that the affected vehicles were all assembled in Korea between 18 January 2014 and 30 September 2015.

This voluntary safety recall starts today, Tuesday, 1st of March 2016.
