There are a lot of different things dermatologists will go hunting for around their patients. One that you probably wouldn't expect on the list is buried treasure. Ever the creative derm, Dr. Sandra Lee, M.D., aka Dr. Pimple Popper , goes hunting for buried treasure. Spoiler alert: she finds it in her patient's blackhead.

In her latest video shared to Instagram, Dr. Pimple Popper clears out a giant blackhead in a mystery location on her patient. Dr. Pimple Popper captioned the video:"X marks the spot for buried treasure! Aka a good #blackhead! #treasure#drpimplepopper"

The video begins with Dr. Pimple Popper ready for action. She has her comedone extractor in hand and the giant blackhead in her sights. This blackhead is actually a dilated pore of winer . "I'm going to squeeze and see," she says as she puts a bit of pressure on the bump.

Always careful of her patients, she checks in before going ahead with the pop. "I'm not hurting you right?" the doctor asks. He's doing fine, so she continues with her extraction and her pimple lesson.

"These dilated pores of winer are just large blackheads that are superficial and dried up," Dr. Pimple Popper says. "The reason they're so dark is because they've oxidized. They've hit oxygen, so they're just a darker color. They always are bigger than they look."

A lesson and a satisfying DPOW pop, what a perfect combination for a Thursday afternoon.
