According to him, increasing cases of corruption are being recorded in the country, calling on the government to jail government appointees who are culprits.
Speaking Monday on Accra-based Radio XYZ, he said he will be happy if the government cracks the whip.

"I’ll be happy to be indicted on that. I’d be very happy," he said, adding that "I’m looking forward to people being prosecuted and jailed for corruption [perpetrated] during Mahama’s time if that will mean I Daniel Batidam failed as an advisor."
"I worry a lot about corruption in our country. Not just because of its continuous existence but because of the approaches we are adopting in dealing with corruption.
"It appears to me as we sit today, if you ask me I’ll say corruption is getting worse…because there was corruption before January 2017, everybody talked about it, the examples are there and there is still corruption since January till now. That means it is getting worse because the new corruption has added to the old corruption."
Nana Addo’s presidential campaign was about uprooting corruption in his government.
He said, "We have decided that as much as possible we want to take the politics out of it."

He has indicated one of his priorities would be to establish the Office of a Special Prosecutor to deal with corruption.
However, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that public officials found to be corrupt will not be protected in his administration.
He said officials engaged in acts of corruption will face the laws of the land without fear or favour.

According to him, he intends taking the fight against corruption by naming and shaming officials in his government.
He said complaints received will be investigated and not swept under his carpet.
