This comes after his best friend, Richmond Kweku Aposor, was caught engaging in such activities in a public washroom with another male 'lover.'

He was attacked by some thugs in the vicinity who expressed anger at the alleged gay practise, an act the youth considered abominable in both Ghanaian culture and religion.

People familiar with both Eddy and Richmond suspected Eddy's involvement due to their close friendship, even though he vehemently denied.
