Former MP for Adentan, Opare Hammond, dead

Mr Hammond, who until his death was the Managing director of the Precious Mineral Marketing Commission (PMMC), died Friday.

He is said to have died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

He was appointed MD of PMMC in 2017 when president Nana Akufo-Addo won power in the 2016 election.

He became the first MP Adenta Constituency in 2004 after the constituency was separated from the Ashaiman Constituency.
