According to the paper’s sources, the new government was surprised when officials noticed the situation upon taking office on January 7 and have taken steps to replace some of the missing items to “ensure smooth working environment in the state facility.”

However, the paper cannot establish if the new government have taken steps to retrieve the items or question officials from the erstwhile John Mahama about the whereabouts of the items.

The NDC is yet to respond to the allegations.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) won an emphatic mandate to lead the country in the executive and legislature ending the eight year rule of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
