NDC presents second edition of 'Moment of Truth'

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold its second edition a new press briefing series dubbed, "Moment of Truth" during which the party intends to focus on what it terms, "Exposing the failed promises of the Nana-Addo – Bawumia government".

Sammy Gyamfi, NDC Communications Director

In December 2018, the maiden edition of the briefing series, which is similar to the "Setting the Records Straight" edition, which used to be organised by Fifi Kwetey, whilst the NDC was in opposition between 2001 and 2009 was held.

It was addressed by Sammy Gyamfi, National Communications Officer of the NDC where the party focused on the performance of the government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Sammy Gyamfi addressing the press sought to belittle Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's efforts to introduce modern technology to help manage the economy.

In effect, he accused Dr Bawumia of fixating on technology instead of focusing on the economy.

The NDC also took issue with Bawumia for assuring Ghanaians that the NPP is on course to meet many of its campaign promises. According to him, Bawumia lied in making the claim.

He said the NPP government is also engaged in excessive borrowing.

But Henry Nana Boakye, the national youth organiser of the NPP said the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has done better over the past two years than the National Democratic Congress managed in its eight years of taking charge of Ghana's affairs.
