I will not attend 2017 RTP Awards – Dr Bawumia
The 7th edition of the Radio & Television Personality (RTP) Awards is scheduled for October 28, 2017.

This was disclosed by the Director of Communications form the Office of the Vice -President, Frank Agyei-Twum.
In a Facebook post, Agyei-Twum said that “the Vice President has nothing to do with the 2017 RTP awards and will not be present at the said ceremony.”

The 7th edition of the Radio & Television Personality (RTP) Awards is scheduled for October 28, 2017.
Adverts that have been aired indicate that public personalities have been invited to grace the occasion.
The adverts mention Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Former President of Ghana-John Dramani Mahama, Rev. Dr Boadi Nyamekye (Founder and Leader of Makers House Chapel) and other dignitaries to grace the event.
Some members of the general public have asked that the event is treated as a corporate one because of the personalities invited.

Artistes invited to perform on the day include Ebony, Kurl Songx, Patience Nyarko and Patapaa Amisty.
Patapaa Amisty has asked his fans to ignore earlier publications that he will not perform at the event.
However many Ghanaians have called on that the event organisers to be exhibit some decorum in the artist they invite to perform at the event mainly because of the public figures in attendance.
