Former heavyweight champ wins Charity match with US politician, Mitt Romney

Holyfield showed that he was a pro boxer as he defeated his amateur opponent by the judges decision

 

Former heavyweight champion, Evander Holyfield was back in the ring on Friday, May 15 in a charity match against former US Presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.

The fight was to raise money for CharityVision, which provides equipment to doctors in developing countries treating people with curable blindness.

Holyfield however showed that he was a pro boxer as he defeated his amateur opponent by the judges decision.

Holyfield was awarded the win by the judges but Romney however managed to knockout the former heavy weight champions, albeit in a  the boxer in a choreographed move.

"He's the oldest person that I ever fought. He's the smallest person I ever fought. I've got a lot of respect for that," Holyfield told after the fight.

The night raised an estimated $1million for Charity Vision, which will go towards 40,000 surgeries.
