However, six-year-old Prince Larbie is confident that he could restore Ghana to its glory days when it comes to boxing.
As young as he is, Prince trains regularly and already aims to become a world champion in the near future.
“My boy fell in love with boxing from an early stage. He always follows me to the gym,” his father, Daniel Larbi, told Pulse.com.gh in an exclusive interview.
“He is six years now and he trains one hour on the average. He trains twice a day – morning and evening when he’s on vacation but trains once when a day when school reopens.”
Prince’s sharpness in the ring, his tight fists and his zeal to get better have led to comparisons with the legendary Mayweather.
Indeed, his father believes he could become a world champion by the turn he turns 19 years.
“He really loves boxing. He says he wants to be a world champion in future,” the senior Larbie said.
