Powered by the International Federation of Skate Soccer (IFSS) headed by Albert Frimpong, the two sides earned the right to compete for the ultimate in their game played by players on skate boards, by winning the two regional events held in the course of the year in Kumasi and Accra respectively to set up the clash in the final come this weekend in the Ghanaian capital.
Ashanti Warriors were first to book their place in the final way back in May after seeing off the same Accra Giants 3-2 in the decisive match of the Kumasi leg of the preliminaries which also featured Western Tigers and Zongo Lions.
Accra Giants were not overawed and recovered to win the Accra leg courtesy of convincing victories, 5-2 over Western Tigers and 2-0 over Zongo Lions to also notch their place in the decisive fixture to determine who is Ghana's stake soccer kings.
Not to be left out when proceedings are concluded on Saturday will be the fans who will be entered into random draws to win various prizes including household electrical items like fridges, irons, blenders and others.
“What we just witnessed here is something spectacular and as I have always been saying it’s my dream to keep these guys off the street and so far so good, we are on course,” said IFSS boss, Albert Frimpong after Accra Giants' triumph last month.
