Ayew, despite the injury decided to continue with play in his side’s quest to gain something out of the game.

Dr. Erden Erturer and his team performed fracture fixation operation on the Ghanaian player's fourth finger on his right hand.

Treatment has immediately started and he will rejoin his Fenerbahce team-mates in two weeks' time after his act of bravery was hailed by the Turkish media.
