Hearts of Oak assistant coach Henry Wellington has stated his team hasn’t reach their full potential, stressing that they are still in their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2016 Ghana Premier League.
On Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the Phobians defied all odds to beat in-form Asante Kotoko 6-5 on penalties to reach the final of the ongoing G6 Tourney after 1-1 in regulation time.
“It was a very good game for both teams, penalty shoot-out is anybody's game and I must congratulate Hearts of Oak and Kotoko for playing good football,” Wellington said after the game.
“We are in our pre-season training. I can’t say we are done with our pre-season training because we have won against Kotoko. We are still on and by the end of our exercise we will parade a good team for the upcoming season.”
Hearts of Oak on Sunday (December 3) will face Aduana Stars in the final of the G6 Tournament.
